Tha Presidential candidate of the Labour Party at the 2023 Presidential election, Peter Obi has paid a visit to lawyer and human right activist, Dele Farotimi.
Farotimi, who as a result of comments he made in his book has been in a legal battle with Chief Afe Babalola and was remanded in a correctional centre in Ekiti State. He was later granted bail and released after perfecting his bail conditions.
In a post on his X account, the former governor of Anambra State said he made time to visit Farotimi.
“Yesterday, following my visit and meeting with President Obasanjo, I made time to visit my dear younger brother, Dele Farotimi. Since his return from the correctional center in Ekiti, I have not had the opportunity to meet with him.”
“I was pleased to find him in good spirits and deeply encouraged by his unwavering dedication to the struggle for a better Nigeria. “
“Dele Farotimi “exemplifies courage in the face of adversity, consistently taking bold stands for good governance in our nation. I wish him a fruitful and productive year as we continue to work together toward the development of our country,” Obi added.
