Nigeria’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has removed the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as national chairman and national secretary, respectively, of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The development reflects an update in the commission’s official records of party leadership, although INEC did not immediately provide detailed reasons for the change.
Mark, a former Senate President, and Aregbesola, a former governor of Osun State, had been listed in the roles prior to the revision. The adjustment is expected to have implications for the party’s internal structure and ongoing political activities.
