An explosion at a mining site in Sabon Pegi, Mashegun Local Government Area of Niger State, has claimed the lives of four people while many others were left injured.
The incident is said to have occurred occurred on Sunday morning as miners resumed work at the site.
Although the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained, residents have has said that poor handling of explosive devices by mining companies might be responsible for the explosion.
