ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance in Abuja as “unprecedented,” praising the administration’s visible transformation of the capital city in just two years. Wike made the remarks on Thursday during an inspection tour of key infrastructure projects scheduled for commissioning as part of activities marking Tinubu’s second year in office.
“Tinubu’s achievements in FCT are unprecedented. Abuja is now working, and the evidence is everywhere,” Wike declared.
Completed and Ongoing Projects
Wike expressed satisfaction with progress on several road and infrastructure projects:
- Apo to Wassa Junction Road (left-wing service lane of the Outer Southern Expressway) — 100% completed, to be fitted with streetlights for improved security.
- N20 Interchange — to connect Wole Soyinka Way with Murtala Mohammed (Kubwa) Expressway, nearing completion.
- Access road to the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal in Dakibiyu District — on track for completion and commissioning.
“Residents of Abuja deserve the best, and President Tinubu has insisted that Nigeria gets nothing less,” Wike said.
National Impact & Call for Support
According to the minister, Tinubu’s impact extends beyond the capital, with progress evident across the country. He noted growing public sentiment in favor of giving the president a second term, citing the administration’s infrastructure delivery as a key reason.
“In the next two and four years, you’ll see what is going to happen in this country,” Wike added. He urged FCT residents to support the administration by fulfilling their civic obligations, saying that development is a shared responsibility.
