President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has restated his administration’s unwavering commitment to ending terrorism and restoring lasting peace across Nigeria. S
peaking during the Fesderal Executive Council meeting on Thursday, Tinubu declared that the government will not relent until the threat of insurgency, banditry, and violent extremism is completely crushed.
“We’re determined to defeat terrorism,” the President said firmly, emphasizing that no part of the country will be left behind in the renewed offensive against criminal networks. He noted that Nigeria’s security forces have made significant progress in recent months through intensified intelligence operations, better coordination, and improved logistics support.
Tinubu praised the gallantry of the armed forces and other security agencies, commending their courage and sacrifice in protecting the nation. He assured them that his administration is committed to enhancing their welfare, modernizing military equipment, and strengthening inter-agency collaboration.
The President also reiterated that national security remains the cornerstone of his government’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” stressing that economic growth and social development depend on peace and stability. “We owe it to our people to secure this country. Terrorists and their sponsors must have no safe haven within or outside our borders,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to support security operations by sharing information and resisting narratives that undermine the fight against terror. According to him, collective vigilance and unity are key to achieving lasting victory.
Tinubu’s renewed assurance comes as the military continues major operations in the North-East and North-West regions, with officials reporting the neutralization of dozens of insurgents and the recovery of weapons in recent weeks.
