The Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly has declared that lawmakers are satisfied with Hon. Hyacinth Dajoh Emberga’s leadership as Speaker, stressing that his style of governance has brought unity and stability to the legislature.
Speaking to journalists in Makurdi, the Deputy Speaker praised Emberga for fostering cooperation among members of the Assembly.
“We are happy with Emberga as Speaker. His leadership has created an atmosphere of inclusiveness and collective responsibility,” he said.
Transitioning to specific achievements, he noted that under Emberga’s leadership, the Assembly has passed key motions and bills that directly address the needs of the people of Benue State. He added that Emberga’s open-door policy has encouraged healthy debate while maintaining mutual respect among members.
Furthermore, the Deputy Speaker dismissed claims of division within the House, emphasizing that the legislators remain united.
“The Speaker has carried everyone along. There is no faction or crisis in the Assembly. We are working together as one body for the progress of the state,” he stated.
He also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the executive and legislative arms of government, noting that Emberga has strengthened that relationship without compromising the Assembly’s independence.
In conclusion, the Deputy Speaker assured Benue citizens that the Assembly, under Speaker Emberga’s leadership, will remain focused on delivering people-oriented legislation. “Our goal is to serve the people, and with Emberga at the helm, we are confident that the House will continue to perform its duties effectively,” he said.
