The Israeli military said it has carried out a series of strikes on fuel stations across Lebanon that it claims are tied to Hezbollah, as part of its expanding campaign against the Iran-backed group.
In a statement, the Israeli Defense Forces said the targeted sites belong to the Al-Amana fuel network, which it described as a key component of Hezbollah’s financial and logistical infrastructure. The military said the facilities generate significant revenue for the group and are also used to refuel vehicles involved in transporting weapons and fighters.
Several of the stations were rendered inoperable in the strikes, the military added, stressing that the action was intended to disrupt Hezbollah’s operations and funding streams. It accused the group of using civilian infrastructure to support its activities.
Reports from Lebanon indicated that at least one petrol station in the south was hit during the latest wave of attacks, with large fires seen following the strike.
The strikes come amid intensifying hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, with Israeli forces increasingly targeting infrastructure it says is linked to the group’s military and economic networks. The escalation has raised concerns about further damage to civilian facilities and the broader humanitarian impact of the conflict.
