Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has told former President Olusegun Obasanjo To “Keep Quiet”.
Responding to the former President’s remark, addressing Nigeria as a “failing state” and the recent poor economic outlook as released by IMF, the Senator said President Obasanjo should keep quiet and if he must talk, he should look at the assessment of government in totality.
According to the Senator, using a language of war in a peace-time is disastrous and it is Mutiny. He said, all developing countries in international relations are referred to as “failng states”.
When asked if Nigeria is working under President Tinubu’s administration considering IMF’s report on the economy, Ibrahim said “in international politics, three factors are very important – power, authority, and influence. Nobody in IMF group will be happy with President Tinubu for running economic policies not completely dependent on and being dictated by these developed countries”
“So, the Tinubu government knows from the beginning what kind of problem it will face by trying to be independent of their policies”
He added that lenders dictate fiscal policies.
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim said, he totaly disagrees with former President Obasanjo that Nigeria is a failing state.
