Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM 1) is under investigation after the Nigeria Police Force confirmed receiving a petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over alleged unruly conduct at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The petition, dated August 12, 2025, claims the August 5 incident disrupted boarding procedures and potentially endangered flight safety, breaching Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.
Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the Airport Command to conduct a full investigation into the altercation and determine whether aviation safety rules were violated.
Force spokesperson DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi assured that the inquiry would be transparent, impartial, and aimed at safeguarding Nigeria’s aviation sector. If found guilty, KWAM 1 could face penalties such as fines, air travel restrictions, or prosecution.
The case marks an escalation with top law enforcement involvement, highlighting the authorities’ stance on strict compliance with aviation safety laws.
