This significant milestone highlights a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing economic relations between Nigeria and Cameroon while addressing the growing energy needs of the region.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, expressed that this achievement reflects the company’s broader vision for a united and energy-independent Africa. He emphasized that by refining and exchanging African resources within the continent, both countries are contributing to a future that benefits the entire region.
Antoine Ndzengue, Director and Owner of Neptune Oil, highlighted the importance of this partnership for Cameroon. He noted that by becoming the first importer of petroleum products from Dangote Refinery, the country is reinforcing its energy security and fostering local economic growth. The direct supply from Dangote Refinery, bypassing international intermediaries, is a testament to the efficiency and independence of the collaboration.
Looking ahead, both companies are committed to further initiatives that will establish a robust supply chain, stabilizing fuel prices and creating new economic opportunities throughout the region. For Nigeria, this export underscores Dangote Refinery’s ability to meet domestic demands while positioning itself as a key player in the regional energy market, offering high-quality, locally sourced petroleum products to Cameroon.
