Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new two-year deal with Saudi club Al Nassr worth an astonishing $676 million, making it the most lucrative contract in sports history. According to the Daily Mail, the 40-year-old Portuguese star will earn a base salary of $245 million per year—equating to $670,000 per day. The deal also includes:
- A 15% stake in Al Nassr, valued at $45 million
- A signing bonus of $34 million, rising to $52 million if he completes the contract
- Performance bonuses:
- $110,000 per goal
- $55,000 per assist (both increasing 20% in year two)
- $11 million if Al Nassr win the Saudi Pro League
- $5.5 million for finishing as top scorer
- $9 million for winning the AFC Champions League Elite
Ronaldo will also receive a $4.5 million private jet and advertising deals worth up to $83 million, with Al Nassr covering the cost of his 16-member personal staff, estimated at $1.9 million annually. Backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), Al Nassr reportedly sought to secure Ronaldo long-term amid concerns he may leave after his previous deal expires this month.
