The Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) has appointed Blessing Ekwe Chisalam as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). A sports management expert, Chisalam holds a master’s degree in sports management and brings extensive expertise to the role.
Her appointment comes at a crucial time for Nigerian badminton, which has seen significant growth at grassroots, national, and international levels. The BFN aims to leverage this momentum, and according to the President, Francis Orbih, Chisalam’s skills and experience make her a perfect fit to help drive this growth.
In her new role, Chisalam will oversee expanding the BFN’s outreach, enhancing its programs, improving administration, and creating more competitive opportunities. Her deep understanding of sports physiology and administration is expected to elevate the operations of Nigerian badminton in line with the objectives of the National Sports Commission.
