The All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally thrown its weight behind President Bola Tinubu as its unchallenged candidate for the 2027 presidential race.
This endorsement was confirmed by the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, during the APC National Summit held in Abuja on Thursday. The gathering brought together top party figures, including governors, federal ministers, and other senior members of the ruling party.
Making the announcement, Ganduje stated:
“As the chairman of the party and on behalf of the National Working Committee – the only recognised platform, I believe, legally, to field a candidate in any election – I hereby affirm the various endorsements and declare President Bola Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate of the APC.”
The move effectively rules out any internal contest for the APC’s presidential ticket, signaling a united front within the party as it looks ahead to the next general elections.
