The National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended—indefinitely—the deadline for submission of expression of interest and nomination forms by aspirants.
In a statement issued in Abuja by Debo Ologunagba, Secretary of the committee’s Publicity Sub-Committee, the NCOC said the earlier cut-off date of Friday, September 26, has been suspended and a new deadline will be announced in due course. The committee also approved a shift in the screening of aspirants, previously scheduled for Tuesday, September 30. Fresh dates for both activities will be communicated later.
Ologunagba said the adjustments were necessary to “ensure smooth arrangements for the conduct of the exercise,” and advised all aspirants to take note and act accordingly.
The PDP’s national elective convention remains slated for November 15–16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
