Four people were killed in a Russian airstrike on Kyiv early Saturday, marking the second fatal attack on the city this month. The strike caused shattered windows, fires, and flooding in the Shevchenkivskyi district, with air defences active during the assault. A previous air raid had ended just before the latest attack.
In Zaporizhzhia, six people were injured in a Russian strike, with one woman in critical condition. These attacks are part of the ongoing war following Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Ukrainian strikes reportedly hit ammunition depots and chemical plants deep in Russia, described by Ukrainian intelligence as a “painful blow” to Russia’s war capacity. Moscow claimed to have intercepted advanced Western missiles used in the assault and vowed retaliation.
