Russian President Vladimir Putin has once again pledged that Moscow will not back down in its ongoing war in Ukraine, stressing that the country will continue its military campaign despite growing international pressure.
Speaking at a state event, Putin emphasized that Russia remains resolute in its objectives. According to him, the conflict is not just about Ukraine but also about protecting Russia’s sovereignty and security. “We will not retreat, and we will not allow anyone to impose conditions that threaten our independence,” he declared.
Moreover, Putin argued that Western nations are fueling the conflict by supplying weapons and financial support to Kyiv. In his view, such actions only prolong the war and increase the suffering of civilians. He insisted that Russia’s strategy will continue until what he described as its “legitimate security concerns” are addressed.
In addition, the Russian leader dismissed suggestions that Moscow is isolated on the world stage. Instead, he pointed to growing ties with countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America as proof that Russia is not alone. “Our partnerships beyond the West remain strong, and they show that attempts to isolate Russia are failing,” he added.
Regarding the battlefield situation, Putin claimed that Russian forces are holding their ground and making progress in certain regions, despite Ukrainian resistance. However, he warned that continued Western intervention would only lead to what he called “serious consequences” for global stability.
On the other hand, Ukraine and its allies insist that Russia must withdraw its troops and respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity. Western leaders maintain that sanctions and military aid to Kyiv will continue for as long as necessary to counter Russian aggression.
