Three Israeli hostages held by Hamas militants have been released on Saturday as part of the fifth exchange under a Gaza ceasefire, with 183 prisoners held by Israel due to be released later in the day
The swap comes after US President Donald Trump proposed taking over of the Gaza Strip by the United States — a plan that has sparked mixed reactions globally and rejected by Hamas.
There were Jubilation across Tel Aviv, Israel’s commercial hub as they watched live footage of the three hostages brought on stage in Deir el-Balah by gunmen on masks before the hostages were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The stage had a banner with images of destroyed Israeli armoured vehicles and a horribly-looking Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
The three hostages were identified as Eli Sharabi, Or Levy and Ohad Ben Ami.
