Chatham, Illinois — Four people, including children, were killed and several others injured on Monday when a vehicle drove through a building housing the YNOT After School Camp, according to Illinois State Police.
Authorities confirmed the victims ranged in age from 4 to 18 years old. The vehicle reportedly struck multiple individuals outside the building before crashing through the facility and exiting from the opposite side.
Emergency responders transported victims to area hospitals by ambulance and helicopter. The driver, who was not injured, is currently undergoing evaluation. State police say the investigation is ongoing.
