The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a sophisticated drug smuggling attempt involving suitcases laced with cocaine, according to its Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.
In a post shared on Sunday via X, Babafemi released videos showing NDLEA operatives cutting through the inner layers of several suitcases to extract the concealed drugs.
“Narco-trend update: Strewing the walls of suitcases, in factory fitting precision, with cocaine, must have taken lot of efforts and resources but at the end #ndlea_nigeria officers still uncovered all as revealed in these videos that captured the latest seizure by #ndlea,” Babafemi wrote.
The footage reveals how traffickers embedded the drugs within the suitcase linings with meticulous effort, making detection more difficult. Despite the elaborate setup, NDLEA officers successfully intercepted the shipment, continuing their crackdown on drug trafficking across Nigeria.
