A magistrate court in Ogba area of Lagos state has ruled that Stella Nwadigbo, be remanded.in a correctional centre
The female teacher of the Christ Mitots School, Stella Nwadigbo was arraigned in court on Thursday by the Lagos state police command over assault of a 3 year old child in her class..
Following the ruling, Nwadigbo has been remanded at the Kirikiri correctional centre pending when the case will be called on February 18.
Nwadigbo was seen in a viral video Hitting a 3 year old Abayomi Michael in the class. She was later arrested by the police and the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development.
The Ministry in a statement, condemned the action of the teacher stating that school is are meant to be safe, nurturing and protective environment for children.
The ministry had early promised to collaborate with the police to ensure thorough investigation is carried out and justice served,
The school in response to the incident condemned Nwadogbo’s action, adding that she has been suspended.
