The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has explained the reasons behind his decision to resume academic pursuits, saying the move was driven by a commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
Sanusi said returning to school was not influenced by necessity but by a desire to deepen his knowledge and remain intellectually engaged. He noted that education is a lifelong process that should not be limited by age or status.
“Learning never stops,” he said, emphasizing that acquiring new knowledge is essential for growth and effective leadership.
The former Central Bank governor added that his decision also reflects the importance of setting an example, particularly for younger generations, on the value of education and self-improvement.
Sanusi’s return to the classroom has drawn public attention, with many viewing it as a reaffirmation of the role of education in leadership and national development.
