Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has fired back at analyst and former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, saying he (Carragher) is being “obsessed with him”.
Salah, whose contract will end in six months has been in a heated exchange of words with Carragher as his (Salah) next career move.is uncertain.
The spotlight on Salah’s actions and comments has been intensified as the Egyptian star player is now free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.
Carragher, who has been critical of Salah’s recent behavior took issue with a cryptic photo Salah shared on social media alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, which many saw as a subtle message directed at the club’s management
Seeing Salah as “selfish” in an earlier remark, Carragher urged the Liverpool forward to emulate Van Dijk’s composed approach to contract negotiations.
In response, taking to his X account on Monday Salah wrote, “I’m starting to think you’re obsessed with me.”
Carragher further responded: “I’ve always been obsessed with you. Hopefully, that obsession will continue next season.”
