Yuzvendra Chahal starred with the ball for the opposition, claiming 4-28, including the crucial wicket of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who top-scored with 37. Glenn Maxwell trapped Venkatesh Iyer lbw for seven, while Rinku Singh was stumped off Chahal’s bowling. Andre Russell was the final wicket, bowled for 17 by Marco Jansen.
The total of 111 defended now stands as the lowest ever successfully defended in a full Indian Premier League (IPL) match, surpassing the previous record of 116-9 defended by Chennai Super Kings against Punjab Kings in 2009.
