The award-winning Afrobeats singer Damini Ogulu, Popularly called Burna Boy and Pascal Okechukwu aka Cubana Chief Priest have been in a battle of words, both taking to their social media page to fire at the other.
The ‘words war’ started with Burna Boy in a post widely interpreted as a jab at the Chief priest, referred to the Chief Priest as the “Owerri Rick Ross”
Burna Boy wrote in the post: “No forget say u be Azaman o And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na ‘Omo Igbo’ for ATL and na u be next #OwerriRickyrozay.”
Cubana Chief Priest, responding to Burna Boy wrote on his page, “Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD. you never see anything, you and your bend down collect Grammy.” In another post, he added, “The Ferrari’s. The London jewelers debt. I’m coming. I have long waited for this moment. Osubrileeee oooo”
This post suggest that Burna Boy was simply upset and alleged that the singer is indebted to a London jeweller.
Burna Boy further replied that he does not owe money like Cubana Chief Priest’s boss, adding that he pays for everything in cash and.
Cubana Chief Priest revealed that back in 2018, he paid Burna Boy just N1million to perform at his 2018 birthday when the singer was not famous.
Cubana Chief Priest also and a video of Burna Boy asking him for cake, suggesting he was wealthy long before Burna Boy became known.
