Nigeria secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Ghana to reach the Unity Cup final at the Gtech Community Stadium. Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 14th minute with a precise finish. Just five minutes later, Ghana’s Razak Simpson inadvertently scored an own goal, doubling Nigeria’s lead.
Ghana fought back in the 70th minute when Brandon Thomas-Asante scored to give the Black Stars hope, but Nigeria maintained their advantage to secure the victory. Nigeria will face Jamaica in the final on May 31.
