Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has introduced an online registration portal and official identity cards for members of the Obidient Movement, both within Nigeria and abroad.
In a statement by National Coordinator Dr. Yunusa Tanko and Director of Strategic Communications Nana Kazaure, it was revealed that:
- Each ID card features a QR code for verification and displays the flag of the holder’s country of residence.
- The OBX prefix is consistent across all ID cards, symbolizing unity between Nigerian and diaspora members.
- The QR code allows supporters and businesses to authenticate the cardholder’s identity easily using a smartphone or other QR scanner.
- The initiative aims to foster diversity, camaraderie, and trust among Obidients worldwide.
The statement emphasized how this move showcases the global reach and solidarity of the Obidient Movement.
