President Bola Tinubu has said that ongoing economic reforms in Nigeria are beginning to produce positive outcomes, as he addressed citizens in his Sallah message marking the Islamic celebration of Eid.
In his Eid-el-Kabir goodwill message, Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast, noting that despite current economic pressures, government policies were designed to stabilize the economy and lay the foundation for long-term growth. He emphasized that early indicators suggest the administration’s reform agenda is already making an impact.
“Our reforms are yielding results,” the President stated, pointing to what he described as gradual improvements in key sectors of the economy. He added that while the process has involved difficult adjustments, the ultimate goal is to build a more resilient and inclusive economic system capable of supporting national development.
Tinubu also used the occasion to call for unity and compassion among Nigerians, encouraging citizens to support one another during the festive period. He highlighted the values of sacrifice, patience, and faith associated with Eid, describing them as essential virtues needed to navigate current national challenges.
According to the President, the reforms being implemented by his administration are aimed at correcting long-standing structural weaknesses and improving efficiency across critical sectors. He maintained that the short-term difficulties being experienced by citizens would give way to broader economic stability and shared prosperity.
He further reassured Nigerians that the government remains committed to addressing the concerns of vulnerable groups and ensuring that the benefits of economic changes are more widely felt across the country.
The Sallah message comes at a time of ongoing public debate over economic conditions, with citizens experiencing rising living costs and adjusting to policy shifts introduced by the administration. Despite this, Tinubu expressed confidence that the reform path would ultimately strengthen the nation’s economic outlook.
For now, the President’s remarks reflect continued government emphasis on reform-driven recovery, alongside appeals for patience and national unity during the festive period.
