President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Abuja on Monday evening following a productive two-week working visit to Europe, during which he engaged in high-level diplomatic meetings and maintained active oversight of national affairs.
Touching down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 9:50 p.m., the President was warmly received by top government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike.
While in Paris and London, President Tinubu held key strategic discussions, notably with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa at the U.S. Department of State. Their dialogue centered on:
- Strengthening U.S.–Nigeria bilateral relations
- Tackling regional security threats
- Fostering sustainable economic development
- Coordinating efforts to support peace in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo
Throughout his stay abroad, President Tinubu remained fully engaged with developments back home, issuing directives to security agencies and overseeing critical national matters.
This visit reflects Nigeria’s growing leadership role in Africa’s peace and development architecture and underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to international collaboration for national growth.
