President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has warned that the ongoing conflict involving Iran could disrupt economic activities in Nigeria and potentially compel more workers to adopt remote work arrangements.
Dangote said rising global tensions, particularly around key energy routes, may trigger fuel supply challenges and increased costs, which could in turn affect transportation and business operations across the country.
He noted that in response to such pressures, organisations may be forced to reduce physical office activities, with many employees working from home to cut operational expenses and adapt to the changing environment.
The business magnate stressed that the situation highlights the vulnerability of economies to external shocks, especially those linked to energy supply disruptions, and urged proactive measures to mitigate the potential impact on businesses and workers.
