The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) has shortlisted 1,811 applicants for employment out of over 55,713 individuals who applied for various positions across the state. The successful candidates include 1,500 teachers, predominantly in STEM subjects, and 311 non-teaching staff, such as drivers, security guards, and office assistants, to serve in schools across all 16 local government areas of Kwara State.
KWSUBEB Chairman, Prof. Sheu Raheem Adaramaja, emphasized the importance of hiring individuals who are committed to staying in their assigned locations, particularly focusing on recruiting qualified personnel from rural communities to address staffing shortages in these areas.
Documentation for the successful applicants began on January 6, with separate days designated for candidates from Kwara North, South, and Central. The required documents for this process include original and photocopies of credentials, a citizenship certificate, passport photographs, bond signing, and a filled-out biodata form, among others.
This recruitment effort aims to enhance the quality of education and support services across Kwara State, particularly in rural and underserved areas, by ensuring that skilled personnel are deployed where they are most needed.
