President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable development across all regions of Nigeria, ensuring that no part of the country is left behind. The president made this known through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, at a two-day interactive government-citizens engagement session in Kaduna, organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation.
Economic Reforms and Investments
President Tinubu stated that under the Renewed Hope Agenda, his administration has implemented strategic reforms aimed at fostering a diversified and resilient economy, including:
- Exchange rate unification
- Debt profile restructuring
- Fuel subsidy removal, which he described as a “necessary reform that saved trillions of Naira”
He noted that the resulting savings are being reinvested into critical infrastructure and human capital development, with increased allocations to states.
Key initiatives include:
- Palliative Measures Plan for MSMEs and public transportation
- Modernisation of security apparatus and personnel
- Major infrastructure projects, including:
- Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway
- Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway
- Kano-Maradi and Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail lines
- Housing development initiatives

The administration’s priorities span:

Tinubu also highlighted the Students’ Loan Programme, which has disbursed over ₦53 billion to more than 400,000 tertiary students, reinforcing his government’s commitment to expanding educational access.

President Tinubu called for collective efforts and patience in delivering long-term national progress. He also paid tribute to Sir Ahmadu Bello, describing him as a “phenomenal leader” who championed national unity, and praised the contributions of past Nigerian leaders.
