The White House has confirmed that a massive military parade will be held on June 14 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army — a date that also coincides with former President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.
According to an Army spokesperson, the day-long festival on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. will feature:
- 6,600 soldiers
- 150 military vehicles
- 50 aircraft
- Community engagement events and equipment displays
Trump Revives Military Parade Vision
Trump has long advocated for a show of American military strength akin to France’s Bastille Day Parade, which he attended in 2017. He first proposed a U.S. version in 2018 but abandoned the idea after projected costs exceeded $90 million. Now, with a major anniversary as justification, the plan has been revived — and its timing on Trump’s birthday has already raised political eyebrows.
