Yemen’s Iran‑aligned Houthi movement has declared it is fully prepared to assist Iran militarily in the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, raising concerns about further regional escalation. The group’s leadership said it is monitoring the situation closely and stands “fully militarily ready” to act in solidarity with Tehran should developments require it.
Senior Houthi figures have reiterated support for Iran’s position amid the widening Middle East confrontation and have indicated that all military options remain on the table. While the group has not yet formally entered the conflict, statements emphasise its willingness to engage beyond its traditional areas of operation.
At the same time, other statements from the movement signal it continues to monitor events and has not immediately launched new operations, suggesting a cautious posture for now despite its declared readiness to intervene.
Analysts warn that direct Houthi involvement could affect key maritime routes such as the Bab al‑Mandab Strait and add another front to an already complex regional conflict that has drawn in multiple actors.
