The United States Embassy in Saudi Arabia’s capital was struck by two suspected Iranian drones, sources said, in an incident later confirmed by the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
Saudi authorities acknowledged that the compound was targeted but reported no casualties or injuries from the attack. The extent of the damage has not been immediately disclosed.
The strike comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Iran-linked drone and missile activity increasingly directed at U.S. interests and allies across the Middle East.
However, security around the diplomatic mission has been reinforced following the incident as investigations continue into the source and trajectory of the drones.
