MEXICO CITY, — Mexican authorities said Saturday they have located Nicole “La Nicholette” Pardo, a US–Mexican dual national who disappeared earlier this week in the northwestern state of Sinaloa after footage circulated online appearing to show her being abducted at gunpoint in broad daylight.
In a social media post, the Sinaloa Attorney General’s Office thanked the public for information and confirmed that Pardo had been found “alive and in good health.” Authorities did not immediately disclose where she was found or whether any arrests had been made.
Pardo was last seen on Jan. 20 in the Isla Musalá neighbourhood of Culiacán, Sinaloa’s capital, according to a missing-persons bulletin issued by state authorities. The case drew intense attention after a viral video—reported by multiple outlets to have been recorded by cameras on her lilac Tesla Cybertruck—appeared to show several armed men forcing her into a waiting vehicle outside a commercial area.
Mexico’s Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch said earlier in the week that the vehicles allegedly linked to the incident were being tracked and that the state government had promptly informed federal authorities.
U.S. officials also monitored developments. A U.S. State Department spokesperson said Washington was aware of the reports and stood ready to provide consular assistance to Americans abroad.
Pardo, 20, is a prominent online personality who, according to reporting, splits her time between Culiacán and Phoenix, Arizona, and has built a substantial following across social media platforms.
Her disappearance—and rapid public mobilization around the footage—occurred amid heightened concern about violence against women in Sinaloa and across Mexico. ABC7’s Spanish-language report, citing official figures from the state prosecutor’s office, said Sinaloa ended 2025 with 72 femicides, more than double the 31 recorded in 2024. The same report cited national registry figures showing Sinaloa accounts for about 7,000 of roughly 132,000 disappearances recorded nationwide.
Authorities said investigations into the circumstances of Pardo’s disappearance are ongoing, and urged the public to continue sharing credible information through official channels.
