Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the killing of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy commander was carried out through coordinated efforts between Israel and the United States.
Speaking on the development, Netanyahu described the operation as a result of “US-Israeli teamwork,” indicating close military and intelligence collaboration between the two allies in targeting the senior Iranian official.
The commander, a key figure within the IRGC’s naval forces, was reportedly killed in a recent strike amid heightened tensions in the region. Israeli officials have portrayed the action as part of broader efforts to weaken Iran’s military capabilities and curb its influence, particularly around strategic waterways.
The remarks underscore the deepening security cooperation between Israel and Washington, even as the situation continues to draw scrutiny and raise concerns over further escalation in the Middle East.
