Iran has told China it intends to continue fighting until the United States and Israel “regret” their initial military strikes, underscoring a hardened stance as the conflict deepens.
According to reports, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi conveyed the message during talks with his Chinese counterpart, insisting Tehran would defend its sovereignty until its adversaries are made to pay for their actions.
The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic engagement between Beijing and Tehran, with China urging a return to dialogue and a de-escalation of hostilities. However, Iran has signalled it is not prepared to back down, framing the conflict as a response to what it describes as aggression by Washington and its allies.
Iranian officials have repeatedly indicated that any end to the war would depend on the cessation of US and Israeli attacks, while maintaining that their military response will continue until their objectives are achieved.
The exchange highlights the widening gap between diplomatic efforts led by global powers and Tehran’s stated determination to pursue the conflict on its own terms.
