These funds were returned to victims of extortion, highlighting the force’s effort to address public grievances.
The Command’s Complaint Response Unit, part of the Police Public Relations Department, investigated 10 complaints, leading to these recoveries. Additionally, 18 officers faced disciplinary actions, reflecting the command’s commitment to maintaining accountability. Among these measures:
- 1 police constable was dismissed.
- 4 officers had their ranks reduced.
- 6 received warning letters.
- 4 were reprimanded.
