Simone Inzaghi, the 49-year-old Inter Milan manager appointed in 2021, has officially parted ways with the club after a four-year tenure marked by six trophies, including a Serie A title, two Coppa Italias, and three Supercoppa Italias. Inzaghi expressed deep gratitude to the Nerazzurri fans, saying he gave everything during his time and will never forget their support.
The decision came by mutual agreement following a recent meeting with Inter officials. Club president Giuseppe Marotta thanked Inzaghi for his passion, dedication, and honesty during their discussions.
Inzaghi also led Inter to two Champions League finals, losing narrowly to Manchester City in 2022-23 and suffering a heavy defeat to PSG recently. Inter narrowly missed out on the 2024-25 Serie A title to Napoli by just one point.
His departure precedes Inter’s upcoming participation in the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in the US, scheduled between June 14 and July 13.
