Chelsea came from behind to defeat Real Betis 4-1 in the UEFA Conference League final held in Wroclaw, Poland, becoming the first club to win all four major European trophies: Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup.
Betis took an early lead in the 9th minute through Abde Ezzalzouli, capitalizing on a Chelsea mistake. Despite Betis’s strong first-half performance and solid defense, Chelsea turned the game around in the second half. Cole Palmer was the standout player, assisting two goals scored by Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson within five minutes. Substitute Jadon Sancho secured the win with a third goal, and Moises Caicedo added a fourth to seal the emphatic victory.
This win marks Chelsea’s first major trophy since the takeover by Todd Boehly’s consortium in 2022 and ends a dominant streak of Spanish team victories in European finals. The match was preceded by fan clashes in Wroclaw, resulting in 28 arrests, amid a large presence of Betis supporters in the city.
