American talent manager and Wizkid’s manager, Jada Pallock popularly called Jada P has said that aside being the mother of Wizkid’s children, she is also his manager an entrepreneur, and a hard-working business woman.
Speaking in an interview with BET UK, Pallock expressed her achievements and legacies as an entrepreneur and a music manager, especially how she managed the live streaming of Wizkid’s live performance, “made in Lagos” during the pandemic.
“I remember callingChenise that we want to do and create something that had never been done before, and we came up with the idea of doing a live stream and somehow she pitched it and sold it to everybody in YouTube. She’s like honestly amazing.”
“It was probably one of the best live performances I have actually seen today.”
“During that time, like the world went into a pandemic, for me as a manager I remember thinking how to become creative and how to roll out an album without having to physically be in normal circumstances you would have to be at.”
Pallock aso said that coming up with creative ideas that stood out and added to Wizkid’s legacy is important in working with an artist like Wizdid that is very particular about his brand.
Speaking on her challenges as a mother Jada P recalled how she had been in the hospital attending meetings and conference calls after her first child with Wizkid.
She added , “I remember when Wizkid won a Grammy for ‘Brown Skin Girl’, I wrote a statement of the achievement of how far African music has come, they put the statement out – you know they caption was ‘Wizi Baby Mama’. The narrative isn’t seen as – your entrepreneur, hard-working business woman. I am kind of titled more as Wizi’s Baby Mama.”
“Not only am I a mother but I have been able to be a manager as well and helped to build a great legacy, and the results and history of what I’ve done tells it all.”
Pollock who is heavily pregnant during the interview said she and Wizkid have two children together.
