The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has reassured the public that all its staff members and customers are safe after a fire incident at one of its Lagos branches.
The bank explained that the fire was promptly brought under control, preventing any loss of life or serious injuries. UBA noted that the safety of both employees and customers was its immediate priority, and evacuation procedures were carried out swiftly.
Furthermore, the financial institution highlighted that the incident did not significantly disrupt its services. Transitioning to operations, UBA confirmed that customers can continue to access banking services through its digital platforms, while alternative branches remain open to attend to physical transactions.
In addition, the bank commended the quick intervention of emergency responders, whose efforts ensured the situation did not escalate. UBA also expressed appreciation to the public for their concern and patience during the temporary disruption.
