Iran has rejected the United States’ proposed 15‑point plan to end the war, describing the U.S. terms as excessive and unacceptable, and has instead put forward its own five conditions for a ceasefire, according to state media reporting.
A senior Iranian official said any end to hostilities must meet these criteria:
- Complete halt to enemy “aggression and assassinations.”
- Concrete mechanisms to ensure the conflict cannot resume.
- Guaranteed and clearly defined compensation for war damages.
- End of fighting on all fronts, including actions by allied groups.
- International recognition of Iran’s sovereign authority over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has emphasized that any cessation of violence will occur only on its terms and according to its own timetable, rejecting external dictates about when and how the war should end.
