Maiduguri — Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has concluded a two‑day assessment of frontline locations in the state’s south and centre, inspecting ongoing projects and announcing plans to resettle Kumshe, Mayinti and Tarmuwa in Bama LGA.
During the tour, Zulum inspected 500 resettlement houses and 3,000+ temporary shelters under construction in Mayinti and Dara Jamal. He also visited Kirawa, approving a hospital, water facilities, and reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed by Boko Haram. At Banki—on the Cameroon border—he reviewed security arrangements following a recent insurgent attack.
Zulum was accompanied by Rep. Engr. Bukar Talba, Acting Chief of Staff Dr. Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe, commissioners and senior officials.
