Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year, becoming the first player in history to win the award three times.
Salah, 33, enjoyed a record-breaking 2024/25 campaign, finishing as the Premier League’s top scorer with 29 goals and providing 18 assists, helping Liverpool secure the league title by a 10-point margin over Arsenal. His performances also saw him claim the Premier League Player of the Season, the Golden Boot, and the Playmaker award, making him the first player to win all three in the same season.

The Egyptian star previously won the PFA award in 2018 and 2022. This year, he beat a six-man shortlist that included teammate Alexis Mac Allister, Alexander Isak (Newcastle), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Declan Rice (Arsenal), and Cole Palmer (Chelsea).
Salah, who joined Liverpool in 2017, recently signed a two-year contract extension in April, quashing transfer speculation linking him with a Saudi Pro League move.
